LSP Internet Background Check -- Program Description
The Louisiana Department of Public Safety is committed to providing authorized agencies a fast, secure, and reliable way to initiate criminal background checks on potential employees and other types of applicants. Once your organization has been approved by the Criminal Records Office, you will be authorized to utilize this online system to perform criminal background checks, according to the terms and conditions of the site. In an effort to reduce the time necessary to complete this process, the Department has instituted this online background check system that will allow you to instantaneously submit an application for a background check. If the applicant does not have a disqualifying criminal history record, you will be notified immediately online. You will also be able to print an official receipt from the site with a unique audit number so that you may reference this submission at any time.
